Your subscriptions on Google Play will renew automatically unless you cancel or unsubscribe. Keep in mind that uninstalling the app will not pause or cancel your subscription. You have to cancel your subscription on Google Play manually. Here is how to pause or cancel the subscription on Google Play.
How to pause your subscription
Only some application will allow you to pause the subscription. If you want to pause your subscription, here is how.
1. Go to “https://play.google.com/store/account” with your PC browser.
2. Check the Google account you’re signed in with is correct.
3. Click on ‘My subscriptions’ on the left menu.
4. Find the subscription you want to pause and click on it.
5. Then click on ‘Manage.’
6. Click ‘Pause payments.’
7. Choose the period to pause the payments.
8. And click ‘Confirm.’
How to restart payments of the paused subscription
If you want to resume your paused subscription, then you can do this anytime when you want.
1. Visit https://play.google.com/store/account.
2. See that the Google account you’re signed in with is right.
3. Click on ‘My subscriptions’ present in the left-hand menu.
4. Locate the subscription you wish to resume and click on it.
5. Select ‘Manage.’
6. Click ‘Resume.’
And your paused subscription will resume immediately.
How to cancel your subscription
Remember uninstalling app will not cancel the subscription. If the subscription is with an application, then it will remove from Google Play and cancel your subscription. Here are the simple steps to cancel your subscription.
1. Go to “https://play.google.com/store/account” with your PC browser.
2. Check the Google account you’re signed in with is correct.
3. Click on ‘My subscriptions’ on the left menu.
4. Click the subscription you want to cancel.
5. Then click on ‘Manage.’
6. Click ‘Cancel Subscription.’
Even after canceling your subscription you’ll be able to use it for the period you’ve already paid. For example, if you had paid for a complete year and canceled your subscription in the middle of the month, then you can use it till the last day of the year.
How to restore or restart a subscription
If you’d canceled a subscription, but it is still active, then you can restore it. Here is how to restore a subscription.
1. Go to “https://play.google.com/store/account” with your PC browser.
2. Check the Google account you’re signed in with is correct.
3. Click on ‘My subscriptions’ on the left menu.
4. Find the subscription you want to restore and click on it.
5. Then click on ‘Restore.’
That’s it! The subscription will restore. Unluckily some subscriptions are now available to restore.
